Transitions
Solid flooring installed
over concrete requires the installation of a plywood
subfloor prior to installing the hardwood. This extra
layer of plywood can raise the flooring height by
1 1/2" requiring the use of unsightly reducers
between the wood floor and tile, carpet, vinyl or

glued directly to concrete without the use of a subfloor
